| https://intelligencebriefs.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/dsge.png Throughout the book Vince Flynn Kill Shot, there were many hidden meanings behind a majority of the book. Lies upon lies upon lies hidden throughout the book. Who knows what’s real and what’s fake. Even as a reader it is hard to discern mainly because there isn’t much information given to the reader. A fairly important quote in the book would be, “And the DGSE isn’t telling us a thing.” Many people are currently in the case of the murder, however, the DGSE (Directorate-General for External Security) isn’t unveiling any information on the case. There could be many reasons for this but the main reason why I believe they are hiding the case is that they have something fairly important to hide. It could be that with all the superpowers trying to figure out what is going on with the case is causing them to fear that something else will be uncovered throughout the investigation. For instance, if the 5 people who planted the trap for Mitch Rapp were part of the France government. If something of that scale was actually discovered, only calamity would befall France. To have the CIA become their enemy is something that can’t be taken too lightly. And with the CIA being backed with all of the US makes it even worse. In the book state that a member of the DGSE was found dead there. This further concludes to me that there is a high possibility that France is trying to get rid of Mitch through very underhanded ways. The theme throughout the book has always been untrustworthiness. Throughout the book, Mitch Rapp is constantly fearing for his life. The result of this is because of the information leakage that was in the CIA. This shows that even though, in this book, the DGSE is a national group promising to protect the people of France, it still has many things to hide from the eyes of the common person. |
